The Military-Patriotic Center of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted the presentation of a project for a modernized Basic Military Training (BMT) system, developed in response to current technological, informational, and geopolitical changes. The event brought together the management of the JSC Center for Military-Strategic Studies, the authors of the new BMT textbooks, veterans of the Armed Forces and other security agencies, BMT instructors, representatives of the educational community, experts, and high school students. The participants were welcomed by Major General Askhat Ryspayev, President of the JSC Center for Military-Strategic Studies. Under the Center's initiative, new-generation BMT textbooks have been developed for Grade 10–11 students of secondary schools and students of technical and vocational education institutions. The project involved specialists in combat training, information technologies, unmanned aerial systems, military history, psychology, medicine, topography, and other professional fields. Aigul Tulembayeva, Chair of the Board of Directors of the JSC Center for Military-Strategic Studies, Doctor of Economics, and Professor, presented the project's concept, emphasizing that the updated BMT system is based on practice-oriented learning and modern educational methodologies. The textbooks are designed to develop decision-making skills, preparedness for emergency situations, first aid competencies, critical thinking, leadership, psychological resilience, teamwork, and safe behavior. The project is also fully aligned with the national educational program Adal Azamat.Th e participants reviewed the pilot editions of the textbooks and highly appreciated their content, structure, design, and presentation. All recommendations expressed during the discussion will be taken into account in the final revision of the materials, while pilot implementation of the updated textbooks in educational institutions is planned to begin later this year.
