On June 30, 2021, an online expert meeting of CMSR JSC was held with representatives of the Islamabad Institute of Political Research (IIPR), Pakistan. The Vice-president of the Center, Tairov Rafik Anvarovich, and the President of the IIPI, Brigadier Rashid Vali Janjua, delivered a welcoming speech, where the parties informed about the activities of the research organizations and possible points of cooperation between them.

During the expert meeting, issues of regional security, the fight against terrorism and extremism, cooperation of the SCO member states, information security and others were also discussed.

The results of the expert meeting were:

1. Creation of a Working Group to prepare a memorandum of understanding for the further development of constructive and mutually beneficial relations;

2. Development of a Plan of cooperation in research activities for 2021-2024 with subsequent clarification.
