June 19, 2026, a working meeting with Captain K. Niyazbekov, Commander-in-Chief of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was held at the JSC “Center for Military-Strategic Research”.
During the event, current issues related to the development of scientific, technical, and applied cooperation to enhance the combat readiness and technical support of the Naval Forces were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the trial operation of the Automated System for the Maintenance and Repair of Ships and Vessels, which is being implemented as part of ongoing research and development work.
A separate section of the discussion included additional testing of the BEK-001 "Samgau" multifunctional reconnaissance and attack unmanned modular boat in the Caspian Sea.
The meeting also addressed the improvement and unification of military standards applied to the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including approaches to the maintenance and operation of weapons and military equipment, as well as the digitalization of management processes.
During a constructive exchange of opinions, the meeting participants noted the high level of interaction between research organizations and the Naval Forces and emphasized the importance of further expanding practical cooperation.
Following the meeting, the leadership of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan expressed gratitude for their contribution to the development of military science and strengthening the military-technical potential of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as for their active participation in the implementation of projects aimed at improving the effectiveness of the national defense system.
