The Center for Military Strategic Research JSC will hold an international scientific and Theoretical conference on the topic of National and regional security in the light of modern challenges on October 27, 2023 at 10.00.

The purpose of the conference is to discuss security threats to the countries of the region, including military threats, socio-economic factors of instability and water problems.

Issues under consideration:

1. Military threats:

1.1. Problems of countering the software and technical impact (cyber attacks) on the military and military-economic potential of the countries of the region. Resource and technological equipment, condition and readiness for cyber threats.

1.2. Informational and psychological factors of destabilization of the situation in the state. Assessment of the fundamental importance of fake information for national security, the influence of the information field on the formation of the psychological state of the population.

2. Water security of Kazakhstan:

2.1. The state of water resources (BP) of Kazakhstan. The volume of BP, their structure. Use of water resources.

2.2. The problem of water shortage. To what extent are BP under threat due to growing consumption and climate change?

2.3. Water-deficient regions, the state of water security in large cities.

2.4. What are the prospects for the situation with BP? What are the possible methods of responding to the problem?

3. Socio-economic factors of instability in the region:

3.1. Migration processes in the Central Asian region.

3.2. The impact of migration processes on the economy of the countries of the region.

3.3. The economic potential of the countries of the region, their ability to provide employment for citizens in the event of an unfavorable development of the situation in the sphere, as well as labor migration.
