Since early May 2026, work has been ongoing to commission the Automated System for the Maintenance and Repair of Ships and Vessels as part of a scientific and technical project funded by the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
This system was developed to improve the efficiency of planning, recording, and monitoring of ship maintenance and repair activities, as well as to streamline marine equipment management processes. The implementation of modern digital solutions will ensure the timely completion of scheduled maintenance, improve the operational reliability of ships and vessels, and optimize the use of material and technical resources.
The system is being piloted at the missile gunboat “Mangystau” of Naval Base of the Naval Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the tests, specialists will verify the software's operability under real-life operating conditions, evaluate the system's functionality, and collect and analyze user suggestions for further improvement of the software. The results of the pilot operation will form the basis for further refinement of the system and its implementation within the units of the Naval Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This will contribute to the increased digitalization of ship and vessel maintenance and repair processes, as well as the strengthening of the technical readiness of the country's naval forces.
