On August 25, 2026, a scientific and theoretical conference titled “The Use of Virtual Reality Technologies in Combat Training of Military Personnel” was held at JSC “Center for Military-Strategic Research”.

The event was conducted in a hybrid format (in-person and online) jointly with the National Defense University of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The participants discussed:

• international experience in implementing VR/AR simulators;
• methodological approaches to designing training and combat scenarios;
• assessing the effectiveness of immersive technologies in the combat training system;
• prospects for integrating virtual reality into military training.

Following the conference, practical recommendations were developed and will be submitted to the relevant structures of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
